florals and lace and everything that's nice

This past weekend I spent a beautiful day with a beautiful girl. Hearing that my favourite floral shop was teaming up with Fort Night Lingerie. I automatically thought girls day out with Mama Shugs!

We had a great time rummaging through cute undies and skivvies. I've been in desperation for a new bra lately... Not that I even want one, but when I got sick and lost all my weight, I didn't even need one. I had nipples as tits for gods sake.

But now that things are looking up and a tad more nippy, I figured it was time. Back in jail my little girls went. At least I could settle for a cute pair of high waisted undies and a lace bralette.

After looking through Fort Night's studio sale, Crown Flora was holding one of their own ... And I think I was more excited about the plants than the clothes.

Me and my mom were able to make the most beautiful terrarium. For those who don't know what a terrarium is, think an air aquarium for plants....

Don't worry, I'll show you.

Take a look at how we got to make ours below for only 25 bucks. All materials included!

Pick your plant

Choose your gravel

And decorate!

Voila, you got an easy to care for terrarium plant :) I'm hoping to get 2 more to hang at different levels. Stop by Crown Flora to get one of your own!

Until Next Time,

BOMBER JACKET // SANCUARY  (can be found @ Lou Lou's Boutique)

The Abnormal Beauty

I never thought my life would be heading in this direction. Don't get me wrong, as a child I dreamed of being famous. I once even found myself jealous of Hannah Montana... like what?

When I was in school, working towards a life full of success and happiness... I can sure as hell tell you I didn't see this. When I was bored I would draw, when I had spare time I would put outfits together and when I was in school I would daydream. It wasn't always fashion but I saw myself with a voice.

Double Tee's came to be and I had things to say..... Lots of things. But, of course having my own blog and living in the 21st century. I myself even liked looking through pictures much more than I did reading. So I thought "fuck, I'm gonna have to start taking pictures of myself..... I wasn't even into instagram, definitely not a social media junkie. I mean I was using the camera on the back of my phone.....

After a couple of shoots, working with great artists and the cliche, "finding my angles". I thought, these pictures look sick. Only to look back on them and think "What the fuck".... I had realized modelling wasn't posing in front of a camera simply trying to look good.

There's was a HUGE difference between amateur and professional.

And I never wanted my blog to look amateur...

After a bit of practice, getting casting calls and receiving jobs. I was pretty proud of myself. While it was all very exciting, it also was quite intimidating... Like fuck, imagine seeing girls twice your height and solid tens...... everywhere.

Then there's me, Ms. 5'7 and I don't even like my smile.

I never went for pretty... Always preferred the Kate Moss, mouth half open stoned look. Not the girl next door..... which half of these people were. So after getting to know the industry a bit better, receiving jobs here and there, I was on a  roll.

I realized all I needed was a little edge and personality to land my photos on sticks and stones agency. A blog that inspired me far before I started mine..... When I saw my face up on their page I couldn't believe  it.

In this industry you don't have to be perfect, having all the right features alone would get you nowhere. You just have to know what you're doing and have fun doing it. I'm not the model to smile in my photos.... The way my nose curls up and cheek lines indent.... NO. Not my thing, I was always a little more dark and twisted anyways... Yet, for some reason, photographers like a smile. Everyone has their beautiful imperfections.... things they don't like about themselves, mine just happened to be captured in pictures.

Lucky for me, I've worked with a number of talented people who rather than making me hate my features more, made me appreciate them. The little things we hate and notice only about ourselves, are the exact things that capture our character.

I mean on one hand, if I had a free nose job lined up with lots of drugs I'd probably go for it, but when that happens, we can talk about it. Until then I am learning to accept who I am as a person and use it to my advantage. That along with my very talented make-up artists... thank god for those ladies.

I had lots of fun at my last photoshoot with Indigo7Productions, loosening up and actually smiling.... was like being on set for the first time again.

Maybe I'll crack the perfect smiling pic.

Until Next Time,

Double Tee's

Share your imperfections with us in the comment section!!

A couple of weeks ago, I was on my break during Black Friday. What else was I going to do other than rampage through the mall to find myself a decent pair of shoes. With maybe 10 minutes to spare I was running around only to find the most amazing Jeffery Campbell loafers. And when I say amazing, I mean 8 hours, full day of work floating on the clouds, amazing. Im a shoe girl, its awful and I love it. But cmon, they were a great price, practical, WATER PROOF......... I couldn't say no. So I took them home and wore them everywhere......... still do.

There was something about the box that kept calling my name, it's art work intrigued me. I studied it, tried to find its imperfections, the little things that added to its beauty

Although, It was really when I opened the box, that made my jaw hit the ground. I lifted out all the paper and tissue to find a note. It read, "Hey there, I am Chloe"... A letter from a girl in New Zealand.

As she shared her love for art, fashion, music and animals, the similarities I found between this Chloe I was reading about and myself were almost in sync. She went on about her love for drawing, what inspired her and why she drew what she did . It automatically fuelled  my love to create art. Since reading about Chloe's success of her passions,  my mind has continued to race with ideas and I could not be more blessed with the experience Jeffery Campbell offered me. What they have created for their clients it more than a shopping experience, it's a way to fuel inspiration world wide.

I hope as I continue to draw, paint and expand my visions of creating art I will be able to share with my readers the same inspiration Chloe shared with me.

Shopping Mania

Anyone else desperately looking for new places to shop? Or is that just me?

I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I am slowly growing into my own person or I simply can't justify spending a fortune on pieces all my friends will own in a week.... but seriously over the whole brand name, mall shopping ordeal.

I am beyond excited to introduce to you guys Lamania. An Elegant yet chic boutique located in the fast paced streets of Toronto. Anna Jackowska , the owner wished to bring slice of European style to the Toronto Market.

The quaint decor quickly resembles a Parisian boutique, carrying one of a kind pieces for the working woman, Anna found most of these unique brands while living in Europe.

Carrying styles ranging from comfort to class, you are bound to find clothes for any occasion.

When I first found Lamania, I couldn't shake myself of the name. Something about it reminded me nothing more of a 'shopping mania'.... What more would a girl want? I couldn't help but to check it out for myself. Since then Lamania has become home to my internship and one of  my favourite places to shop.

Saturday, November 8th, Lamania featured their pieces in the National Women's show, certainly stealing the Runway.

Models: Nikolina Granic, Madeleine Heaven, Quinn Bui, Trida Simone and Chloe Sugar were styled to perfection by the one and only Anna Jackowska. Take a sneak peak at what Lamania has in store for the festive holiday seasons.

Lamania is excited to announce their upcoming part in a pre-holiday event 'Wrap Yourself in Style'. Be sure to enjoy a night of fabulous fashion and treats at the SIP WINE BAR. you won't want to miss Lamania's holiday style.

These past couple of days, BMO has hosted yet another fabulous week of new spring collections for 2015. Each and every runway show expressed the unique aspects of art through everyday pieces.

The upcoming trends for the spring season seem be transparent blouses and baggy trousers with extra waist space. On the runway, Mackage sported rather athletic looks with some beautiful pieces of leather (and by the way have me drooling over their S/S '15 collection).

Mix and matching with patterns in upcoming seasons gives Double Tee's an amazing ability to bring you outfits to spark your inspirations. Look back for more fall looks and ways to dress for Halloween right out of your closet.

In honor of the annual MasterCard Fashion Week, Double Tee's felt it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to give you a feel for what’s coming up in the next seasons. I love buying pieces that I will be able to wear more than once in a number of different fashions. Don't get me wrong being a Jenner would be all nice and dandy having a different outfit for every day of the week..... But probably not. So here some looks including plaid prints and baggy waistlines perfect for upcoming seasons.

Warm Welcome From Double Tee's

The building of Double Tee's has been in motion for a few

months now and I am extremely excited to announce it's

official launch. We all know that beating Toronto blues as

winter quickly rolls in isn't easy, So come along for the ride

and find cool places to shop, eat and explore.

I'm Chloe Sugar, the creator and mind behind Double

Tee's. In all honestly, I was the kid who always

complained about Toronto, asking my mom why we

lived here and more importantly why we were staying

here. I have always dreamed of traveling and moving to

place where people actually smiled back soon to

realize that leaving as quickly as I wanted wasn’t an

So rather than becoming morbidly depressed in a place I

didn't want to be in.

(Which may or may not have happened anyway),

I became faced with the decision to continue on, or make a change.

And that is exactly what Double Tee's will be for our readers.

A place of familiarity and openness, a place to feel comfortable when

one is not.  I have always been extremely interested in fashion, history

and art, most of which will shine through in the upcoming posts.

So call Double Tee's your second home, a place of inspiration or just to

find unique places to shop, eat and explore. So let loose and show your true colours.

We sure will.
