Ok, I admit it. I sweat a tad profusely while working out. Not my most attractive quality, but besides slathering on some deodorant, there’s not much I can do about it.
But it does make finding the comfiest and most breathable clothing essential when I do decide to work out (which isn’t even that often). All while trying to still look cute…. which is pretty much mission impossible itself!
The Sports Bra
Never underestimate the power of a good sports bra. It’s strange how much more excited and empowered you can feel about a workout when your bra is looking cute. Keep an eye out for one’s with unexpected details, like these criss-cross straps to stay fleek this summer… You definitely don’t want to be caught with the same sports bra as the girl beside you on the treadmill.
Phone Pockets. Enough Said.
But really, hidden pockets as cute as these will be a lifesaver while kicking calories. Next time you want to buy a pair of exercise shorts, ask yourself, are they worth it if you don’t have a place to hide your stash? What’s cool about these shorts is how tight they are underneath with a flowy layer on top. I mean, who wants to flash the creepy neighbour during your morning run…..
Sneakers are arguably the most important element to your workout attire. I personally go for a neutral pair to make them easier to style, but even the more colourful ones are becoming too cute to resist. Make sure your shoes are breathable and offer maximum comfort for everyones benefit.
The Cover Up
Nothing feels better than finishing a workout and crawling into the shower, but if you’re on the way to the next event, a quick and easy cover-up will have you ready to go.
The Head Band
I absolutely hate having hair in my face while working out. It’s itchy, clings to your face and deliberately blinding. So I like to grab a headband, preferably one with a rubbery texture so it stays secure no matter what I'm doing!
While it’s important to feel comfortable, confident and cute in your exercise attire, don’t forget your health comes first. It doesn’t matter if you’re jogging in an oversized tee from 2005 or yoga in the latest Nike runners. Stay hydrated and stretch friends. Here’s to a healthy summer xx.
Until Next Time,
